Gail Allen Kinesiology
Love your life
Gail Allen
I was introduced to Kinesiology when my children were young. It was back in 1991 and I was living in Perth. My children were needing regular rounds of antibiotics for repeated ear and throat infections. I had a background as a registered nurse and had also experienced recurrent infections as a child myself so I considered it to be almost normal. When one of the other mums at Playgroup suggested that Kinesiology could make our lives a lot easier I was intrigued.
Following the advice to 'See a Kinesiologist' hooked me. It was one of the best things I have done! Not only did the rate of infections drop, but I found practical tools to manage the stressful place my life had become. It put me on a path of discovery about alternative health.

One day I went along to a talk about alternative health by a well known Perth personality. She talked about the Blood Group diet and the benefits of different nutritional supplements, especially for Perth where people can easily become copper overloaded and zinc deficient. Towards the end of the talk, she started working with a 17 year old who had always struggled to read. She did some muscle testing and talked about a range of symptoms that were found in connection to dyslexia. She then placed some yellow cellophane over a page of writing and asked him to read it. At first he looked at her in disbelief and then he looked at the page, paused, and just started reading fluently. His parents, both watching closely, were stunned. So was I! I had never thought of myself as having dyslexia, but that demonstration helped me begin to understand some of my own brain processing issues. I really wanted to know more about muscle testing and Kinesiology!
Circumstances meant that instead of being able to study Kinesiology back then, I signed up to do an Advanced Diploma in Homeopathy with Isaac Golden. I finished that in 2007 and gained a lot of experience with the world of Naturopathy as a Pharmacy Naturopath Consultant. Finally in 2010 I was able to start the Advanced Diploma of Kinesiology with the O'Neill College and just loved it!
I have now been working from home as a Kinesiologist since 2015. I love to study so am always on the lookout for new healing modalities, techniques and tools to add extra benefit to the sessions. 2022 included exploration of the combination of Kinesiology and Astrology! With this amazing work we can look at specific blocks and challenges in the Astrological chart and discover ways to access strengths and gifts and create flow. In 2024 I added the skills of Family Constellation Facilitation, a whole new level of energetic experience!
Coming up in 2025/26
Healing Touch is a modality that has interested me for a number of years and I've often looked to see if there are any trainings near me. I'm very happy to find that there's a trainer here in Cairns, so I'm starting the first module of Healing Touch in September.
Another modality that has informed my work for a couple of years in Peter Grunwald's Eyebody, vision work. Peter's insights grew from his experience with the Alexander Technique. He discovered that the whole body is mapped in the visual system. Clearing any sort of trauma in the body often needs to go a step further and also clear the impact in the visual system - a bit like resetting our point of view. For my own personal experience, I'm hoping to go and do Peter's 2 week training in New Zealand in 2026.
I am very lucky to have found a career that I love! Kinesiology is just amazing! Combining it with other modalities expands it's potential in astounding ways. I love seeing the positive changes that people experience following their sessions.
